Hillsborough Academy of Math & Science is A Proud
Member of the Charter School Associates' Family of Schools

Meet Our Principal

My name is Mrs. Radzevich, and I am excited to introduce myself as the principal of Hillsborough Academy of Math and Science. It is my privilege and honor to be a part of HAMS and the Charter School Associates team which is vastly known for its dedication to excellence, but more importantly, to children.

I graduated from the University of Central Florida with my degree in Elementary Education and later pursued my degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University. This is my thirty-fourth year in education, and I believe the positions I have held have shaped me into the educator I am today from teacher to administrator, but I consider my most important job to be that of a child advocate.

I believe my job as a school leader is not only to manage the school but to celebrate the success of children and the progress they make in their educational career, no matter how large or small. Encouraging my students every day and letting them know they are valued and have a special place in our school community is extremely important. My main goal is to ensure that every student is provided the highest quality of education possible in a safe and supportive learning environment. Every student is worthy of my best effort.

It is my uncompromising view that all students can learn, given a positive learning atmosphere that welcomes exploration and enhances student confidence. This has been my philosophy since I began teaching in the Osceola County School System as a 4th grade teacher and then kindergarten teacher. Since then, I have been afforded the opportunity to work with children helping develop their reading skills as a Reading Specialist, worked with teachers to strengthen their literacy strategies as a Literacy Coach and all academic areas as an Instructional Coordinator, served as an assistant principal for a high school and as the principal of an elementary and middle school in Georgia. I believe that having experience at all levels is an important part in understanding how students learn and grow. Each position has been a strategic choice I have made to help develop myself into a strong leader, so I may better serve children.

Even with my years of experience and my degrees in elementary education and educational leadership, nothing can compare to what I have learned as a parent to my two beautiful daughters who are now 29 and 25 years of age. Being a parent is the hardest and most rewarding job in the world. People often say that I treat the children in my school as if they were my own. Please know that I will work tirelessly to ensure your children have the best possible experiences while at HAMS, just as I have worked hard to raise my own children to be respectful, self-motivated, successful adults.

Ultimately, I want to continue progressing students to be successful, productive citizens and to continue to make HAMS one of the most elite, sought-after schools in Hillsborough County.
